CHICAGO — Veronica Ferro, owner and founder of VF Interiors, has recently been named to the Board of Directors of the Interior Design Society’s Chicago and Illinois Suburban Chapter. The organization is among the country’s largest dedicated to serving the residential interior design industry. It offers IDS members a place to belong within a supportive and welcoming design community through its 22 local chapters nationwide.

Veronica has participated as a member of the IDS for more than three years. She has served as president of the Chicago and Illinois Suburban Chapter in 2018 as well as vice-president in 2017. Veronica is currently serving on the Board of Directors and is proud to represent and connect with her local design community through IDS.

“My involvement has allowed me to network with different designers, and it has provided me with educational opportunities alongside a supportive community,” Veronica said.

Based in Chicago, Veronica is a designer and entrepreneur. She holds a bachelor of science degree in Marketing from DePaul University, and a bachelor of fine arts degree in Interior Design from Harrington College of Design. Veronica founded VF Interiors in 2011.

Her business is a direct reflection of her personal design aesthetic.

Clients recognize VF Interiors instantly thanks to her ability to create rooms with a sense of creativity and balance. Veronica doesn’t shy away from color. If a room’s color scheme doesn’t catch your eye first, the pattern will. She often mixes patterns in unexpected ways, and layers texture to add interest. Once completed, everything looks and feels like it belongs in the space.

The Interior Design Society specifically focuses on providing support to professional interior design entrepreneurs across the country. “This is one of the biggest reasons I believe in this organization,” Veronica said. “Most of the members in our chapter own their own businesses, so it’s a really great way to network with others who understand the same challenges.”
