CHICAGO — VF Interiors is available to consult on new design projects for your home. And now, we’re accessible in the community to do so, too. VF Interiors is now participating in the monthly Designer-On-Call program, hosted at Chicago’s historic Merchandise Mart.

One day each month, we’re taking meetings to talk with you about your design needs and ideas. Veronica Ferro of VF Interiors has been involved in the program since 2017 and considers it a great way to connect with those who are interested in design projects, but may not be sure how to get started.

The Designer-On-Call program is offered as part of the Design Center at the Merchandise Mart and includes access to its showrooms along with a 1-hour complimentary consultation with an experienced Designer-On-Call. It’s a perfect chance to review possibilities in fabrics, floor treatments, lighting and custom furnishings for your home.

“Some people come in already knowing what they want, and I am able to help them purchase it,” said Veronica. “Others come in looking for inspiration or guidance on a project.”

The Designer-On-Call project comes at no cost to those participating. Our consultation services, like those of other designers participating, are offered free of charge at the Design Center. Purchases are not required, though any purchase made during the designated day will be sold to the client at a lower price. It equates to a wholesale designer rate plus 20 percent. This accounts for a very significant discount to shoppers, compared to retail prices. It’s just an added benefit of the program.

Make the most of your visit by bringing along room measurements, color swatch samples, floor plans or images. The Designer-On-Call can also personalize a shopping experience for you in the Merchandise Mart showroom.

For VF Interiors, the draw of Designer-On-Call tends to be the location itself.

“This program appeals to me because it is part of the Merchandise Mart,” said Veronica. “It is such an amazing resource and has everything that you could ever imagine in the world of interior design. Being associated with a highly-regarded place like the Mart is a definite plus.”

The Design Center at the Merchandise Mart offers four floors dedicated to custom home furnishings and interior design in the heart of Chicago. Showrooms are open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
