Stylized Southern Charmer
It’s not often a designer is handed the freedom to fully reinvent a home. VF Interiors had the pleasure to recreate this Savannah residence over this one year project in 2016. Designed from our Chicago home base, styling and renovating the Savannah, Ga. home required multiple visits to consult and install items. The result is a perfect example of our design aesthetic. Look for a bold use of color and lighting, an unexpected mix of prints, classic design with a contemporary edge, all offset by feminine details against a backdrop of wallpaper.
In the dining room, we opted for a yellow floral wallpaper, then layered on the look by coordinating yellow silk fabric as window treatments. The dining table itself was an antique and stands out against the rich, bright yellow tones. Truly bringing the room together, we chose a smoke gray glass chandelier and placed it above the table as a focal piece of the room.
