Chicago Modern Mix

VF Interiors may be best known for working with clients to bring about their own one-of-a-kind style. The same could be said when it came to a refresh of owner Veronica Ferro’s own home, too. “When I finish a project, I want the client to be able to look at the space and see their style, not mine,” she said. “My living room feels uniquely me, which makes it a very comfortable space to live in.”

The Chicago condominium was updated with a focus on the living room and kitchen. The result is a stunning reflection of the owner’s personal aesthetic, a hint to her own style. The condo is a mix of modern and traditional – with unexpected touches of pattern and texture. Soft blues, neutrals and hints of blush tones emanate through the home. Detailed mirrors and lush plants bring life to the overall design. The project took 6 months to complete. Because Veronica is constantly exposed to new materials and design possibilities, she noted that deciding what to choose for her own space was perhaps the biggest challenge for this very personal project. “My favorite part is that it feels like me,” she said.
